We renamed Emma's first homework assignment homeFUN. Teachers should try this...the work part sounds dreadful!
Her first assignment was about her name - interview your parents about where your name came from, what it means, etc. Well, Emma means whole or complete and Sophia means wisdom.
The next morning (yesterday morning) I was talking about the kids in Emma's class with Sean and I referred to Emma as one of the 'little kids'. She piped up very quickly, "Mommy, I'm not little, I'm wise!"
And I was afraid of her being considered a first grader??
