Well, we won the last game vs. Red Sox. Now we play tonight for the CHAMPIONSHIP!! But, if we loose tonight, we play again Saturday because it's double elimination and we haven't lost yet during playoffs! :)
We didn't go though due to the school play which was AWESOME!!!
Schuyler was one of the servants in the Taming of the Shrew, one of the few 5th graders with speaking lines, and he did fantastic!
Emma was a black widow doing pig jokes, and also "changing the day" with a sun/moon lantern between scenes for the Pig Who Cried Wolf.
Then, for the second play for the younger grades, The Three Little Elephants, Emma was the Little Maid. She did fantastic, too, and instead of a bow like everyone else, she did a proper little curtsy. It was adorable. As usual, she was the smallest little person up there, but she was the loudest! Doing the jokes, she went ahead by accident, and another child pointed that out to her. She looked out to the audience looking like "oh well, not like I can take it back now" and when someone answered it, she smiled big and said a loud "YEP!" Later in the skit she told the same joke, only this time the audience pretended they hadn't heard it yet, so she gave the answer and started to giggle and covered her mouth to giggle. ADORABLE!!!
All the kids did a great job. Some had LOTS of lines to remember and they did terrific and didn't even look too nervous!
Now yesterday was the last day of school and summer for my kids begins today!!!
