Emma is just SO close to reading! She walks around constantly singing "T-H-E E-N-D spells the end!" "S-T-O-P spells stop!" It's amazing! Their little minds are huge sponges and they learn so many new things constantly!
Sean and I find it so fun to see the new things the kids do. Schuyler's isn't as pronounced now that he's 9, but Emma is at the age where she is picking things up all the time and it's so obvious (like reading). It's truly amazing!
Schuyler has actually been working on math with her so she knows some addition facts, too. He has been trying to teach her multiplication as well, but she isn't quite there yet (go figure, she's only just over 4 years old!).
And she's picking up on time. For instance at lunch today she informed me that the slower she eats, the longer the time will be before naptime (of course, my response was that actually, she will go to bed at the same time and will not get to eat all of her lunch if she didn't get going instead of talking about stalling for naptime).
Yep, smart kids. :)
